C525 to C260 Mounting Hinge
thingiverse
I recently came across various mounts designed for C270 cameras compatible with my Prusa i3 MK3S but unfortunately, I had already purchased a C525. It wasn't until later that I realized the C270 has a screw allowing removal of the folding mount, enabling me to utilize its hinge for mounting it to available 3D printed mounts. In an attempt to adapt the original folding mount for my C525, I ended up damaging it but discovered that removing the entire lower base of the folding mount is possible by popping off the plastic cover and unscrewing the center bolt. To address this issue, I designed a new mount in Fusion 360 that fits snugly within the spindle and can be securely screwed in. The mount features a hinge capable of accommodating C270 mounts available online. I am also sharing the complete Fusion 360 project file with history for anyone interested in modifying it to suit their needs. One thing worth noting is that when I printed this mount using PETG with a layer height of .20, everything fit perfectly. However, when I printed it in PLA with a layer height of .10, the spindle wouldn't fit. The reason behind this discrepancy remains unclear. I hope this design proves useful to someone in need.
