C3 Corvette Back Luggage Rack Tip

This is a plastic cap (or "tip") that goes on the back luggage rack of 1968-1977 C3 Corvettes. This is a substitute for GM Part 3931559. The little caps would come loose and fall off the rack. I printed it in black PETG with supports for the overhang. Be sure to clear the inside of the back rack of any rust before attaching it, such as by rolling up a piece of sandpaper and inserting it into the tubing of the rack. I then applied a small amount of adhesive (such as J-B Weld) to ensure that the tip does not come back off. It does not have the same glossy look as the original, but you could try painting it or applying a clear-coat of nail polish to get a similar effect.
