C270 webcam holder for Ender 3 pro
thingiverse
This is a rework of [Ptibiskwi's excellent design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3326741) to hold the Logitech C270 webcam on an Ender3.\r\nAs some have observed in the original object's comments, the holder does not fit perfectly with the Ender 3 Pro as it touches the belt. This rework (a quick edit in Tinkercad) fixes that issue.\r\n\r\n# Original Version\r\n\r\nThe C270-Ender3Pro.stl file adds a hole where the belt is, ensuring the piece does not touch again. The piece still holds securely to the printer even with this modification.\r\n\r\nThe C270-Ender3Pro-Stronger.stl file is the one I actually use on my printer: it also adds a small modification of the part where the C270 holds, as I found that in the original piece, the 2 tiny cylinders were too easy to break (at least with PETG). I also adjusted those a few millimeters away from the arm, making it easier to tie the C270.\r\n\r\n# Edit: V2 (2020/05/21)\r\n\r\nAfter using my version of the C270 holder for several months, I realized there was still room for improvement. Here's the V2 of this rework!\r\n\r\nThe main changes are:\r\n\r\n1- The part that attaches to the printer arm now has two clips on the bottom, ensuring it will not tilt right or left due to vibrations. This part still requires printing with supports.\r\n\r\n2- The part where the webcam was attached had a loose grip, causing the webcam to tilt down in long prints due to vibrations. Another issue is that sometimes I need my C270 for uses other than my 3D printer, and as the original design implies removing parts of the C270, it wasn't very practical. The V2 comes with a removable "case" that self-attaches conveniently to the arm. Simply place the whole C270 there without any modification needed.\r\n\r\n3- There is an optional holder provided (a short one, 105mm, and a longer 115mm one), if you want to prevent the webcam from tilting down due to vibrations, if your C270 moves too easily in high-vibration environments like mine.\r\n\r\n# V2 Photos\r\n\r\nPhoto1: printer parts, including the two different-sized optional holders (you don't need both, only one or none).\r\n\r\nPhoto2: close-up of the added clips on the arm, preventing tilt\r\n\r\nPhoto3: case mounted in reverse on the arm, ensuring a 90°-ish angle without any additional piece. You don't need any holder if you do this.\r\n\r\nPhoto4: case mounted on the arm, with the optional long holder (light blue) to get a perfect 90° angle. The shorter holder allows for a tighter angle if needed.\r\n\r\nI've been using this V2 for several weeks now, and I'm satisfied with it.
