C177 Cardinal Defrost Vent Replacement
thingiverse
This is a defrost vent replacement for a 1977 C177 Cardinal. I would recommend printing this in a high temperature material. ASA is currently being tested to see if it withstands the heat. An update will be posted in a year to tell how well the part is holding up. It was designed to closely match the original part so that the cables and vent hoses should work exactly the same as original. It is designed to work around the existing rivets which can be left in place. This part fits the original screws and uses some flat speed nuts for the screws to bite into. The original hardware and butterfly valve fit inside. The shaft hole is intentionally undersized so you can use a 1/4" drill bit to clean up the hole and make it fit as desired.
