C170 MP Select Mini Camera Mount (Universal Glass Bed)
thingiverse
I modified a design to work with a glass bed, which was my first remix and I'm still learning how to edit .STL files, so I remade it in Sketchup instead.\nThe main reason I made this modification was because the original wouldn't work with the glass bed since the clips couldn't expand enough for the mount and the glass bed. Additionally, it was too wide to add its own clips. So while I was making it narrower, I decided to fix the issue with the C170 Camera being off center due to the lens offset. I shortened it and made a cutout for the second clip, which works well if you insert the clip beforehand like in the picture.\nIf you look at the picture from the camera mounted on the bed, it is centered. This design uses 3/4" binder clips from Walmart or other stores.\nI used this video to install the glass bed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJDYKqbRuQY&t=1820s\nI used a 1/8" thick 5" x 5" Borosilicate Glass Sheet from McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-borosilicate-glass/=15dtmqj\nInstead of the Z-axis spacer in the video above, I used this one customized for 1/8" glass: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1942794\nEnjoy and thanks to the original designer at PrintersParadise on Thingiverse.\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Monoprice Mini\nRafts: No\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: 0.21875\nInfill: 10\nNotes: Supports are everywhere for the overhang.
