C-stand knuckle

C-stand knuckle

thingiverse

This is a recreation of a C-stand knuckle, a versatile piece of equipment frequently used in film and television productions. The knuckle itself is designed to be mounted on a C-stand, but can also be attached to any stand featuring a spigot. To maximize its functionality, you can insert various items such as lights, frames, or C-stand arms into the knuckle. I created and printed this C-stand knuckle as an exercise rather than for actual use in a production setting. As opposed to real C-stand knuckles made from metal, which are capable of supporting substantial weight, my recreation is not intended for practical application. Although it appears capable of holding a lightweight LED light, I still wouldn't trust it with expensive equipment or anything that could potentially fall and cause injury to an actor or crew member.
