C shaped beam - ANSYS analysis
grabcad
This project really helped me get the hang of ANSYS software, especially when it comes to doing basic structural analyses on parts. So, here's what I did in this exercise: I designed this C-shaped beam in Solidworks using Solidworks's toolbox library and then saved it as a STEP file. Next, I used the Static Structural Analysis feature in ANSYS to run a simulation. I brought in that STEP file into the project and checked out stuff like how much stress it could take, its safety factor, and how much it would deform. All of this was done while putting a hefty 1000N force on the surface of the structure.
