C.H.I.P. Fan & Battery Case

C.H.I.P. Fan & Battery Case

thingiverse

I designed a case for my C.H.I.P. that fits a 30mm fan, perfect for cooling it down. Since I couldn't find a suitable case online, I took matters into my own hands and created one from scratch. Although the fan requires only 5VDC to operate, I plugged it into the C.H.I.P.'s ground and 3.3VDC connections, ensuring a quiet and efficient cooling system that pushes plenty of air to keep my device at a comfortable temperature. The battery compartment is specifically designed for the original 4000mAh battery from the Kickstarter campaign, but you can easily modify the SCAD files to fit your needs. I also added heat sinks to my C.H.I.P., using small (14mmx14mmx6mm) bulk units that fit perfectly on each major chip, helping to dissipate heat and keep my device running smoothly.
