La premisas principales a la hora del diseno son el transporte, la adaptabilidad a la topografia marciana asi como la facilidad en la instalacion de este sistema modular. El sistema modular permite el montaje de manera lineal en las dos coordenadas cartesianas, superficial o en altura, permitiendo gran versatilidad para adaptarse mejor a la finalidad que se le dara a la base marciana. El acoplamiento entre el modulo cilindrico y el modulo prismatico se resuelve mediante rodamientos y un sistema de giro que permite girar el modulo prismatico sobre el cilindrico para adaptarse al terreno y a su vez elevar los modulos cilindricos al nivel superior.
