c / d bot x carriage for BMG x2
cults3d
This is based on my c-bot / d-bot multi-purpose x carriage. I am switching over to the Bondtech BMG X2 and the spacing for the stepper mount plate did not line up with the spacing I created originally. To use this plate you will need heat-set inserts. Either from Lulzbot or McMaster. You will also need the following: 4 x mini-v wheel kits ( either delrin or polycarb ) 4 x 6mm spacers 4 x 6mm eccentric spacers 4 x M5 45mm 4 nylock nuts ( or regular and thread lock ) For each plate, 16 heat-set inserts ( see above for link options ) Please note that I requested the step files directly from bondtech. Please go through their customer service to request the step or other format files for this. I'm not allowed to re-distribute them! One annoying thing with this plate is the stepper motors are a lot closer to the back of the extruder. I could either move the belt catches out of the way ( eg make the plate wider ) or make a riser plate. I went with the latter as it will preserve the spacing I need. Once I have everything mounted and moving I'll post the photos. I had to adjust the spacing on the eccentric cam. Everything is set to exact dimensions - no fudging this time around!
