Collect and Delivery means the service provided by railroads to collect or deliver cargo to/from freight yards to senders/receivers. Since the beginning of railroads until WW2 and partially even after horse carriages were used in this service. I made a first model of this in connecting with earlier Rail-Road-containers, see here:https://www.printables.com/model/295657-oit-horse-carriage-1-148This first model was quite simple, as I just started design and printing such stuff and didn’t have much source about the topic. Meanwhile all this has improved, and I have a lot of drawings of horse carriages built for British railways (mostly GWR & LMS). So, I felt it’s time to complement my earlier design with some more improved, better detailed one, based on typical drawings of that time. Here are the first two versions of these better horse carriages… The LOT975 is a pole lorry designed in 1914 for the Great Western Railway (GWR). The D11 is based on Diagram11-carriage built for the same railway (no year is given), but there are many similar carriages used by other railways and companies. In larger scale you may use enamelled wire to connect the horses with the coachman. The awning fits only on the D11-Body and exist in an open and a closed version each as a strengthened and a normal execution. The strengthened ones are recommended for smaller scale (n and TT).Quite often horse carriages were not equipped with a seat for the coachman. If you like such version, you may take the LOT975-body from here:https://www.printables.com/model/305972-cd-steam-wagon-with-trailer-1-148there is also the cargo block available I used in my diorama. More cargo can by found here:https://www.printables.com/model/305280-cargo-for-trucks-1-148https://www.printables.com/model/305975-more-cargo-for-trucks-1-148As always, all models sized for British n-scale (1:148). Conversion values:Continental N-scale, 1:160 -> 92.5%TT-gauge, 1:120 -> 123%HO/H0-gauge, 1:87 -> 170%OO/00-gauge, 1:76 -> 195%S-gauge, 1:64 -> 231%O-gauge, 1:48 -> 308%Note: Going more into details the designs are more difficult to print. My designs are oriented on resin print. Some experience and a well-adjusted printer/resin setting is assumed. For beginners in 3D-printing I strongly recommend starting with the earlier design mentioned above.
