C Clamp Rounded and Squared
thingiverse
Made specifically for a particular enclosure, this design fits snugly onto a #8 (about 4mm) threaded rod with precision-cut slots for secure bolt placement. I've chosen one squared and one rounded clamp for each configuration, equipping one end with a wing nut for effortless tightening and the other end with a hex nut for steady support. The design takes advantage of rounded and square shapes to ensure a snug fit into any surface, whether it's a smooth enclosure floor or a solid work surface. One side curves perfectly into a rounded hole while the other sits firmly flush against whatever it's holding in place. You can expect high-quality photos as soon as this masterpiece is up and ready. Initially built for my personal printer, I created these clamps to overcome an obstacle that came with installing it – its enclosure didn't quite fit on the work surface available. I wanted something sturdy enough to prevent the slightest movement caused by vibration or other external forces from disrupting its setup. A second addition will further enhance stability by placing kitchen mesh between the surface and the enclosure, eliminating any risk of slippage. Here are some handy instructions for putting these clever clamps together: * For your clamps: start with one rounded piece followed by a squared clamp * Supplies needed include #8 (about 4mm) threaded rod and the necessary bolts to keep things secure. These are essential: + #8 hex nuts to prevent any loosening, + #8 wing nuts for effortless tightening
