c-bot slider for eccentric cam ( 4-wheel )
thingiverse
I really like the cbot frame parts however I don't like the bevel / squeeze approach for tightening the wheels up - instead, I prefer the eccentric spacer setup which is far more reliable.\r\n\r\nThis design was created in Fusion360 based on the [Fusion360 D-Bot Core-XY 3D Printer](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2430436) design for the same part. Dimensions should be identical with the exception of the wheel spacing, which is adjusted to accommodate the eccentric spacer.\r\n\r\nI'm also a fan of heat-set inserts, having used them in some of my [other](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2762077) designs.\r\n\r\nTo complete this project, you will need the same M5 bolts, washers, etc., plus 4 x [6mm eccentric spacers](http://openbuildspartstore.com/eccentric-spacer/) and 4 [M3 heat-set inserts](https://www.mcmaster.com/#94180a331/=1b6shc7).\r\n\r\nPrint in any material you prefer, as these parts do not receive direct heat; PLA would be suitable. I recommend using PETG for this type of project.\r\n\r\n~~I have performed a fit test on the extrusions and verified travel on the eccentrics but have not yet switched to them on my bot - if you have any questions or comments, please let me know~~\r\n\r\nI recently switched to these on my main c-bot. The eccentrics may be slightly too close to the extrusion - the exterior of the eccentric nudges against it in one spot but at the right tension there is no problem; however, if you experience this issue, please let me know and/or tweak the design in Fusion360.\r\n\r\nIf you edit, Sketch 4 (step 8) for the linear rail side and Sketch 25 (5th from the last) are the places to adjust the eccentric spacing.
