C-beam Y axis sensor holder - for WorkBee dual Y and U axis

thingiverse

Here's a endstop holder designed to fit on a C-beam and specifically to trigger on the WorkBee's 6mm plates which runs on the y-axis. The reason it was designed was because I wanted to implement a tramming procedure for the two Y motors which the Workbee has. The standard only has one Y sensor, and as such you cannot be sure that the X-axis is perpendicular to the Y-axis, and I found that usually it's not. This is only half the solution to this, I use 2 sensors, one for the left and one for the right side of the CNC (reason for these parts.) I then have a custom homing code that seperates the two Y-axis into a distinctive Y and U axis, the CNC then homes and triggers on both Y and U sensor adjusts one axis to the other, then joins both axis back again to run as one single Y-axis. I will not post the code in here since it's not plug and play for all CNC machines and might not even be for your Workbee. If this becomes a guide approved by Ooznest, then I'll link to it. Many thanks to Ooznest very own Robert for helping me get on track with this! STL and 3MF files are available here.
