C-3PO Shoulder bearing bracket for Jesse_M Torso
thingiverse
These are mounting brackets for 5.5" (14cm) lazy suzan bearings designed specifically for the C-3PO torso by Jesse_M, built upon Don Post scans by TheHappyOne. Included are versions tailored to both his V1 and V2 torso pieces. The V2 file is intended for the right shoulder and can easily be mirrored for the left shoulder, while the V1 file works perfectly for both sides. These brackets fit snugly into the space surrounding the shoulder hole in the chest plate of the costume. They can be securely attached to the chest plate using glue, epoxy, or heat welding, allowing the back plate to be easily removed. The outer ring of the bearing can be attached to the bracket with M5 bolts or any that fit your bearing, while the inner ring is ideal for attaching the upper arm. To print the files, simply ensure they are printed flat on the bed and use sufficient parameters and infill to make them strong enough to support the full weight of the arm. The bearings used in this design can be found at https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07FKQBLTF. Any other bearing of a similar size should also work seamlessly. Versions of the bracket without mounting holes are included, allowing you to adapt it for use with other bearings. Jesse_M's V1 torso is available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3020251, while his V2 torso can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3435172.
