C-3PO - Re-shaped To Original
sketchfab
The original 3D model had several critical issues that needed attention. Misaligned arm pistons were a major problem, causing the entire mechanism to be off-balance. Additionally, the model was stuck in standard T-pose, which didn't accurately represent C-3PO's characteristic stance from the movies. To address these problems, I repositioned the arms to better reflect the droid's usual posture. There were also issues with shape and scaling that needed correction to make the model more authentic. These changes aimed to bring it closer to the real prop used in the films. While there are still some unresolved problems, I'm unsure whether they're due to the fact that this isn't an OT suit scan or if Lucasfilm and EA have made modifications. For now, I've focused on easier fixes rather than tackling these more complex issues. The head was excessively large, while the body was too small and slender in both width and depth. To rectify this, I made substantial edits to individual parts. Future changes may still be necessary to further refine the model. I have decided to share the reworked model with you. It's essential to note that this is not my creation; it belongs to Lucasfilm and EA.
