Bůža MK2.7 Upgrade for MK2x
prusaprinters

The final upgrade for the MK2.

the firmware is not finished yet.

need of a transistor logic inverter for the filament sensor to be used. You can do it in code, but the source code is quite painful to modify.

need of a parallel Y cable adapter for the Z-motors.

need to replace the heater fuse for a 10A one for the 3Ohm/24V heatbed.

need of a slightly longer cable for the LCD. But not too long, it is prone to catching EM interference, the menu switches to Goauld language then and doesn't switch to human language until you hit the X restart button.

need of a USB extender.

Utilizes the Buddy 32bit board from Prusa MINI.

24V power supply recommended. Along the other components, motors are happier with 24V.
Prusa MINI PSU doesn't supply enough current. You need at least 10A / 240W one, preferrably with R7B DC plug for it. Another option is to short the DC plug and use the faston terminals on the board to connect the PSU to.

No technical support is being provided for this upgrade/mod. If anyone is patient enough to finish up the firmware, let me know pls. It somehow works and I've sort of given up to do more about it :)
Compiled BBFs and configs with adjusted step/mm, movement orientation, home point, levelling points, bed size, temps and just the other basic stuff are at: http://github.com/davidkerny/Buza_MK2.7

LCD cover has a switch to turn the light on - the button on the left. Uses the former MK2 endstop switch. Wiring is up to you. Install the USB extender female end inside so you have the USB port easily accessible on the left side of the LCD.

ELE cover opens up the other way than is usual for MKx printers - towards the left for an easier access and better electronics cooling. It has labels printed on the heatbed side so you always know which connector is which and how to get it wired up.

Use the MK3B upgrade X,Z and E-axis parts and the MK1.6 upgrade Y-axis parts to complete the kit.

See the bundled 3MF file for the printer profile (should be sort of working for MK2.7,MK3x,MK2x and MINI too) There is even an ABS print profile for printers with an enclosure.
