Bóvedas de la Iglesia Románica de Gradefes
sketchfab
The temple is composed of a crossing that does not project in plan, a large semicircular apse elevated on three steps and a gallery with absidioles. The apse opens to the crossing through a grand triumphal arch slightly pointed and consists of two bodies traversed by semicolumns from floor to boughline but separated by an imposta line, one lower with seven arched arches slightly pointed that rest on thick pillars with double semicolumns adjoined on interior faces and simple ones on exterior faces which are the ones that support the arches of the gallery and the ribs of the apse's vault, and another upper with semi-pointed openings having a large internal spillage that, along with those from the absidioles, three in each one of them, illuminate the space. The vault is of Gothic architecture already dated in the 14th century although the column-like supports indicate they were thought for a Romanesque vaulting.
