Byleth's Sword of the Creator 245mm Top Section
thingiverse
I redesigned a 245mm tall version of the tip piece of BlacksmithingGamer's Sword of the Creator. Printing BlacksmithingGamer's Sword of the Creator at 2500% is an exciting idea. However, I didn't verify that all parts would fit on my Ender 3 before starting to print and it cost me dearly. I printed from the pommel up and was several days into printing when I realized that the original sword end exceeded the height of my Ender 3. At first, I considered rotating the object to fit in the available space, but I didn't want to run layer lines differently on a single piece of the sword. Instead, I used Meshmixer to split off the bottom few mm (to save the original joint), downscaled the z-axis of the larger section, and merged the pieces back together. I'm a Meshmixer newbie and it seems that the resulting .stl file is aware it was once two pieces, but it didn't seem to interfere with the print. This new .stl is just over 245mm tall and fits upright on an Ender 3 bed with a few mm to spare on the z-axis. Printing the rest of BlacksmithingGamer's files at 2500% will give you a large, handsome finished project.
