Wildorcas are an older design which happened to be available in small numbers on the surplus market in the early days of the mercenary incursion conflicts. They were employed as successful bombers, carrying a mix of ordnance in cleverly hidden internal bays. Demand for ships due to the conflict caused the production line to be restarted, but numbers were always few as the ships were handmade on a single aquatic world. After the war, the remaining examples were sold to private owners and the production line closed down as more modern designs superseded the classic BX-909. However, the concealed bays were easy to convert to other uses, mostly cargo carrying, but they have also gained a bit of notoriety as smuggling ships.
