BV3D Anet A8 Power Supply Cover
thingiverse
OK, look. I know there are a metric ton of Anet A8 PSU covers on Thingiverse. But it seems that Anet changes power supply vendors more often than they change their underwear. I had a few criteria for a PSU cover. To start with, I needed one that encloses the lower portion of the PSU to keep fingers and tools away from the exposed AC power terminals. Next, I required that it accept a snap-in socket switch. Additionally, I wanted it to have places for a few extra switches. Finally, it had to fit the PSU. I found some that I liked, but one thing kept killing them - they didn't fit. I printed two that didn't fit before I got smart about it: I modeled the PSU itself in Tinkercad, with the intention of doing virtual test-fits of PSU covers I found here. But then I figured heck, as long as I have the PSU modeled, I can make my own cover. So I did. And this is it. It fits my Late 2018 Anet A8 that I bought from Gearbest. Will it fit your PSU? I have no way of knowing. But you're certainly welcome to give it a try! It's a (relatively) quick print at 0.3mm layer height. A slightly wider version was requested, and this has been added as "BV3D Anet A8 PSU Cover 112mm inside width.stl". I used this socket switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DBVPRWK And these rocker switches: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0743FQMHY Oh, I've got a YouTube video about it here.
