Buzzsaw Vases

Playing around with another lofting profile in C4D, the twisted star, caught my eye - it resembles a saw blade to me. Printed in Taulman 618 nylon, these objects display various colors after dyeing. Larger vessels were printed on a 1/4" piece of poplar wood as the build surface heated up to 60 degrees Celsius for perfect adhesion and easy release - wood is indeed good! A smaller object was printed on our Sailfish-running Thing-o-Matic in the new 1.75mm Taulman 618. With a spring-loaded idler on an MK7, I had no issues at all with accelerated printing at 60 mm/sec. Printed on masking tape, it stuck fine - though I do recommend wood for larger prints. Sailfish just rocks and the print is absolutely beautiful, hence the close-ups taken.
