BuzzBox™ Bee house

Humans Create Unique 3D Printed Bee Habitat Originally designed as an internal project within the company where I am employed: http://archive.wolffolins.com/work/honey-club?ghost=1 In addition to Hives, Bees also like to 'rest' in Bee houses. Normally, small holes in walls, wood, stone - solitary Bees just enjoy 'relaxing' down there. The design of my Bee house is inspired by the sound wave generated by a flying Bee, colored in hues reminiscent of a Bee's natural coloring, with a planter at the top to plant a Bee-attracting plant. Small holes of varying sizes surround the shape and a hole for nailing it to a wall or tree. 3D Printed using Biodegradable PLA filament - separate layers colored individually and glued together with a Bee-friendly adhesive. Research suggests that Bees are beginning to utilize plastics found in their local environment for nest making, potentially paving the way for individuals with home 3D printers to produce Bee homes!
