The carved area of outcrop is situated within a mature private plantation near West Horton, Northumberland. It has been recorded as 'Buttony 5' on the Beckensall Archive and was added to ERA by the Northumberland and Durham Rock Art Project in 2008. This exposure features intricate cup and ring designs among several others located within the plantation. The ERA record can be found at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=78. It is also listed on Historic England's group scheduling website, accessible at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1417674. The 3D model was created from 5MP stereoscopic pairs captured using a Nikon Coolpix 5400 by Kevin Malloy on February 28th, 2007. This imagery is part of the ERA/NADRAP archive and was taken within a dark plantation resulting in suboptimal photos with visible noise due to the surroundings.
