Button Style to Universal Rearview Mirror Adaptor

<p>This model was born of the desire to save money. I needed to replace my FR-S's rearview mirror. The FR-S and many Subaru vehicles (possibly others) use a button style mount that does not play well with universal mount replacement mirrors. I created this adaptor (on tinkercad) to allow me to use the windshield side of the button mount with the replacement universal mount (wedge shaped). It has saved me roughly $200 so I hope it also helps others do the same.<br> </p><p>Note: The tab at the top is thin to slide between the mounts and is only there as a backup to help stop the adaptor from sliding down.</p><p> </p><p>I suggest printing this using a heat resistant filament especially if your car lives outdoors.<br>I printed this on my MK3S+ in ABS (best heat resistance filament I currently have). You will need to print with supports and I used 20% infill for mine.<br> </p>
