Button Pusher

This is a finished design that may not be necessary for many, yet could spark problem-solving ideas. I had to press a button on the back of a network rack daily, but accessing it wasn't easy, so the button pusher was created. It employs a 36" flexible cable pickup tool as its driving cable. You can find this cable on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ZEOXJY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The components were attached using 3M VHB tape. A nyloc nut, two washers, and a bolt form the pivot point, while the flexible cable is secured to the holding bracket with hot melt glue. This design isn't complex, but its concept was solid, and the geometry of the pusher was crucial. I use it daily and it functions well.
