Button "Maker"
thingiverse
Make buttons!!! This prints in about 15 minutes, one ring and one back. Place a safety pin through the back first. Cut out a picture from a magazine and put it between the ring and the back. Snap them together! You now have a cool pin. Note that the ring has a front side slightly wider than the back. For waterproof pins, cover your picture with a piece of saran wrap. You'll need a well-tuned printer to make these buttons. The circles must be perfect, and any stringing will stop them from snapping together tightly. The sample shown is printed at 150% in x and y directions, and 120% in the z direction. You can scale it up or down as needed... just make sure your safety pins are big enough for the slot on the back. Print settings are standard. This button was printed at a height of .2mm.
