Butterfly valve

Butterfly valves are quarter-turn valves that isolate or regulate flow via a disk-shaped mechanism, resembling operation to ball valves for quick shut off. These valves are cost-effective and lightweight, requiring minimal support. The disc, situated in the pipe's center, is controlled by an external actuator connected via a rod, allowing fluid passage when turned a quarter turn. Unlike ball valves, the butterfly disc consistently affects flow pressure regardless of valve position.
