A 3D model of the DOTA 2 Butterfly sword was created using 3ds MAX software, then printed on a Makerbot Replicator with green acrylic material. Plans for future enhancement include painting the sword with acrylic paint and printing a second side to glue it together, resulting in a non-flat design.
