Butterfly Knife Trainer

After purchasing some affordable butterfly knives, I decided to give making 3D printed trainer knives a shot. Here's what I came up with. Of course, it doesn't have the same weight as an actual butterfly knife, but if you're a beginner looking for a cheap and easy way to improve your skills, this is a great option. Print everything at 100% infill to get better rigidity and weight. You can also print the different parts in different colors to create a really cool-looking trainer knife, as I've done with mine. Assembly All you need to do is superglue the pins into place. First, test-fit the parts to make sure they all fit together before gluing. Assemble it according to the assembly picture. The shorter pins go to the blade. Gluing the pins is easy; just be careful not to get glue on the blade or handle lock. You'll probably get some on your hand, but that's okay. Just apply glue to the inside of the bigger rim of the pins where they rest on the handle. Let it set for a few minutes – depending on the type of glue you use, this might take longer – and then you're ready to become a ninja!
