BUTTERFLY EGG VASE
thingiverse
The Butterfly Egg Vase design draws inspiration from the intricate structure of actual butterfly eggs, which may be laid by the Inachis io (European Peacock butterfly). To achieve an optimal effect, I suggest printing this vase with a translucent filament, allowing the delicate structure and any liquid within to shine through. Additionally, it's advisable to coat the interior with a water-resistant layer to make the vase completely watertight. Design credit goes to Filip Foltman. The photographs of butterfly eggs and butterflies were captured by Jay Cossey (www.photographsfromnature.com) and Filip Foltman (https://www.instagram.com/foltak/), respectively. Recommended print settings include using a translucent filament. After printing, I recommend applying a waterproof coating to ensure the vase remains watertight.
