Butterfly Clip Mask/Retainer
thingiverse
I designed this clip to minimize contact between the straps and ears as much as possible. The problem I'm encountering is the disparity in how manufacturers attach their elastic bands to the masks, which affects the resting point on your ears. Some elastics are positioned at angles that differ from other masks, making it difficult to achieve optimal comfort. While this clip does a decent job of keeping the straps off your ears, its practicality may be limited when used with other medical equipment worn or placed around your head. You can easily remove sections of the mask you don't need by clipping or cutting them away. This was the reason I created multiple areas with different attachments. I printed these clips at 2mm thickness, which seems to provide better rigidity and results in a more comfortable fit compared to extremely flexible materials.
