The Butterfly Cage model is prepared with subdivision techniques in mind, allowing for complex designs without breaking apart when subdivided. Additionally, it has been created using Physically Based Rendering (PBR) techniques. The Octane Renderer was used to produce a high-quality rendered image. In support of the visuals provided by PBR and Octane, detailed textures have also been prepared. Available textures in 8K resolution include a diffuse map for adding visual details like shading and coloring to materials. Metal maps add real-time lighting simulations while maintaining physical properties. The ao (ambient Occlusion) texture adds extra detail where there would normally be missing texture, and normal mapping allows designers to specify bump mappings on materials to produce surface deformation based on how the normal of each polygon would appear in three dimensions. To make it easy for developers, a native version is included which can render using both Octane Renderer and Cycles. Along with this model is provided fbx format compatible file types for compatibility purposes across several software suites (.stl and .abc were made as secondary export methods, should your intended usage demand).
