Butterfly Bath Bomb Mold
thingiverse
Crafting a simple butterfly-shaped bath bomb mold requires just a few basic materials and tools. You'll need a silicone mold, some petroleum jelly or cooking spray to prevent sticking, and a pair of scissors for cutting out the mold shape. Begin by spraying the silicone mold with petroleum jelly or cooking spray to ensure easy release after molding. Next, place the mold on a flat surface and use scissors to carefully cut out the butterfly shape from a piece of cardboard or cardstock. This will serve as a template for your mold. Place the cardboard template over the mold and use a pencil to mark the edges of the mold. Remove the template and trace around the marked area with a small amount of modeling clay or putty. This will create a raised edge on the mold, helping to define the shape of the bath bomb. Once you've created the raised edge, carefully pour bath bomb mixture into the mold, filling it about 3/4 of the way full. Tap the mold gently on the surface to remove any air bubbles and smooth out the top with a spatula or spoon. Allow the mixture to harden completely before removing the bath bomb from the mold. To do this, carefully lift the edges of the mold and slide the bath bomb out onto a flat surface. Repeat the process as needed to create multiple butterfly-shaped bath bombs.
