Butter Robot from Rick and Morty - cut in multiple pieces
thingiverse
I dissected this model (using MeshMixer) into multiple pieces for easier printing. The butter robot in the images was printed with a .3mm layer height and scaled uniformly to 5 inches tall. I advise printing with a .2mm layer height for superior clarity. I applied 30% support material infill for the robot chassis. Since the wheels almost barely touch the treads, I advise using a larger nozzle (like a .6mm nozzle if you've got one) and a wider extrusion width if possible. Shout out to Leonard Pratte's exceptional paint job and hardware upgrades! With 2 layers of upper and lower vertical separation, 1mm horizontal offset from part, an extra inflation distance of 1.5mm, and a max overhang angle of 60 degrees. I used Simplify 3D for slicing, so you might need to adjust the support material settings for different slicing software. If you're using Simplify 3D, I recommend customizing your supports. Carefully remove support material or risk breaking the arm off like me and having to reprint.
