Butter Breech V3.1
thingiverse
I'm working on a new project, a Retaliator version of my Longshot Butter Breech, something I've been planning for quite some time now. This insert is specifically designed to be placed within the existing nosepiece, and that involves cutting a section out of it first, then drilling it down to 17mm. Next up is doing all the fitting required with the parts printed in 3D and so on. Unlike the traditional breech which comes with a dart tooth, this one doesn't, and honestly, it doesn't need one at all. It's meant to deliver an exceptional feeding experience while sacrificing just enough performance to get the job done efficiently. As long as everything is assembled correctly, this breech should be sealed properly. On the other hand, if things don't go as planned, it will perform even worse than the original breech. The bolt body itself has a diameter of 9/16 OD, I'm using brass but any rigid tubing would work fine. Meanwhile, the barrel is made of 17/32" brass but a bare barrel should also do the trick. Update: Managed to shorten the male part, and an LS version has been added for good measure.
