Big shoutout goes out to the guys over at SNW for the advice on this one! :)\nAlright boys, here's the lowdown - printing this one is a piece of cake, but getting it right is a whole different story. The best approach? Just go ahead and CNC it.\nXplorer's breech design has been held back by their "woohoo ironcurtain ironcurtain ironcurtain" for far too long, so I've taken it upon myself to reverse-engineer the concept and give it a total makeover.\nThe idea behind it is that both the bolt and breech fit together like a dream, with the conic frustum (check out what that's all about) guiding the dart into the breech with silky smoothness. That's some top-notch ingenuity right there, Xplorer may not have been the first to think of this, but they're definitely the first to apply it to Nerf and prove just how effective it can be.\nBut all good things must come to an end - eventually even the mighty will fall. What a shame!\nEdit:\nThe design has taken a backseat. Xplorer is no longer associated with this creation. (You can bet they wouldn't settle for a weak dart tooth if it meant keeping their pride intact, but fortunately that's not necessary)\nNow it's using a soft O-ring - makes me one happy guy.\n:)\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: None Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm layers or even finer Infill: Full on 100% Post-Printing Finishing. You're going to need silk cloth, acetone and a gentle touch - smooth the surface out along the layer grain (Good luck with that!) - get it looking as close to mirror-finish perfection as possible. You'd have thought they would've gone ahead and CNC'd it by now!
