Butt stock extension piece for a rifle
thingiverse
This is an adapter piece designed specifically for Anschutz .22 caliber small bore rifles. Typically, similar adapters are included with the rifle to fine-tune the stock fit for each shooter's unique dimensions. To install this part, it needs to be inserted between the wooden stock and the rubber insert at the end of the stock. Its dimensions ensure a more precise fit than the standard original adapter, which often proves too small to comfortably accommodate the wooden stock. The good news is that these dimensions might also work with other models. In case you need to customize the adapter's size or attachment screw type for your specific rifle's butt stock design, the FreeCAD file included provides a high degree of flexibility in modifying its design as per your requirements. I used my Robox 3D printer to manufacture this part, employing a moderate infill density of 20%. For such a demanding task as providing structural integrity for small caliber rifles, this seems like more than enough reinforcement. However, I could foresee the necessity for increased infill ratio in handling larger caliber models, especially those with enhanced power requirements and greater mechanical stress involved during usage.
