Busty Bookends: Stuck in a book
prusaprinters
Update: Added a large version in case the 80 mm width ones are too small and/or you want a bigger piece to display. I wanted to represent the idea of a female's head having disappeared into a book, as my wife loves to read. I remixed and split a mesh I found to better give rise to the illusion of the head of the model being somewhere “in-between” the two halves, thereby providing the desired look.I cut the bust model in such a way as to both provide the illusion but also to try and reinforce the structural weak point of a typical bookend like this, which is the corner at the bottom of the bookend. Placing larger parts of the mesh there should contribute to the holding strength of the pair.Shown here rendered in black and gold tones, I think this would look particularly nice in a variety of colors and materials (or combinations, if you wish to use multi-material prints)Print without support, as shown.Marked NSFW because technically contains nudity.
