Uluç Alì (Le Castella, 1519 – Costantinopoli, 21 giugno 1587) was a renowned Ottoman corsair and admiral. His first name was Giovan Dionigi Galeni. In the Ottoman Turkish language, his name appears transliterated in various forms: Uluç Alì, 'Uluj Alì, Uluch Alì, Ulug Alì, or Ulugh Alì; meaning "Alì the Renegade." He was also known as Kılıç Alì or Kiligi ("Alì the Sword"). Over time, his name became distorted in Italian to Occhialì, Luccialì, Uluccialì, or Uccialì. Uluç Alì played a pivotal role in the Battle of Lepanto, commanding the left flank of the Ottoman formation. He was the sole commander to survive the clash.
