The rendering depicts a woman clad in a chiton and himation that envelops her head and torso, visible from the hips up. Her right hand grasps the hem of the himation as her left arm hangs parallel to her body. This distinctive type of funerary statue is also found on other Aegean islands. A discovered base, likely belonging to the statue, bears an inscription with the name of the deceased heroine: Lysikleia.
