The intricate layering that shrouds this magnificent bust of Sabina, the devoted wife of Emperor Hadrian and illustrious grand-niece of Emperor Trajan, cannot obscure its astonishing beauty and remarkably preserved likeness. Created in tandem with its complement, this portrait likely originated from the imperial ateliers in Rome, possibly for personal use within the palace. The meticulously crafted coiffure bears striking resemblance to a portrait of the empress discovered in Vaison, southern France, which was probably sculpted shortly after Hadrian's journey to Gaul in A.D. 121. This remarkable artifact is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit endeavor initiated by MyMiniFactory.
