myminifactory
Slight hints of ancient ornamentation on shoulders and chest are visible (bearded figures and a winged gorgoneion). Crafted by skilled artisans from Northern Greece. Septimius Severus, born Lucius Septimius Severus Pertinax, April 11, 145/146, Leptis Magna, Tripolitania [modern-day Libya], ruled Rome from 193 to 211. He established a powerful dynasty and transformed the government into a military dictatorship. His reign marked a pivotal moment in the rise of absolute tyranny that defined the later Roman Empire.
