Bust of Sappho

Artec boasts an impressive collection of 3D scans over at http://www.artec3d.com/gallery/3d-models/. This particular model captures the scan of Soppho's Head in stunning detail, making it a true work of art that I was thrilled to discover. The STL file has been expertly edited with a flat bottom and holes repaired using Netfabb. I printed her in white PLA from ProtoParadigm, and at arm's length, she appears remarkably lifelike, as if cast directly in plaster. UPDATE: Richrap has generously provided a slic3r-friendly version of the model that is scaled down to half size and tilted back by 5 degrees.
