Emile Pierre Joseph Storms (June 2, 1846 – January 12, 1918) was a Belgian soldier and explorer who reached the rank of Lieutenant-General. He's famous for his work between 1882 and 1885 establishing European presence around Lake Tanganyika, supporting White Fathers missionaries and trying to stop East African slave trade during that time.
