Arrigo Minerbi was a renowned Italian sculptor born on February 10th, 1881. He held a special place in the heart of Gabriele D'Annunzio, who commissioned numerous works from him, including "Luisa", a striking portrait of D'Annunzio's mother. Minerbi also crafted the tomb at Pescara Cathedral and the bust of Eleonora Duse, both of which were proudly displayed at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera. In 1937, he was tasked with creating a set of five bronze doors for Milan Cathedral, depicting the Edict of Constantine. However, Minerbi's work was halted due to racial persecution, and he was forced into hiding at Gavazzana. He eventually returned to complete the project in 1948.
