Charles Robert Darwin, FRS FRGS FLS FZS, was a renowned English naturalist and geologist. He revolutionized the field of science with his groundbreaking contributions to evolutionary theory. Darwin's pioneering work established that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors. In collaboration with Alfred Russel Wallace, he introduced his scientific concept that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process called natural selection, where the struggle for existence has a similar impact as artificial selection involved in selective breeding.
