Bust of Angélique d'Hannetaire (1749-1822), created by renowned sculptor Gilles-Lambert Godecharle (1750-1835). On display at the prestigious Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, Belgium. Captured with precision using cutting-edge technology. Angélique D'Hannetaire was a talented French actress and opera singer who made her mark on the world stage. Born into a family of actors, Angélique's parents were D'Hannetaire, an actor and director, and his wife, Marguerite Hue, also an accomplished actress. At just 12 years old, Angélique took center stage at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in La Servante maîtresse by Pierre Baurans, a work based on Pergolesi's composition, alongside Alexandre Bultos, her fellow student of Ignaz Vitzthumb, music-master of the Théâtre de la Monnaie. She remained active at the Monnaie from 1766 to 1775, captivating audiences with her powerful performances in romantic lead roles and singing soprano parts in opera buffa.
