Bust of a Yogini
myminifactory
The majestic bust of a Yogini stands tall, one of sixty-four fierce female figures that once roamed the earth. Her robust breasts are a testament to her power, while her missing arms only add to her mystique. A towering coronet rests atop her head, surrounded by large circular earrings and a gleaming necklace. Despite the wear and tear of time, hints of her original ferocity remain - her projecting teeth a menacing warning to all who cross her path. These Yoginis, practitioners of yoga, were a group of sixty-four demons united under the goddess Durga or Kali, their strength and agility honed through dedication to their craft. Location: Southeast Asia's Room 47b, case BNC, shelf 3 Courtesy of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
