This stunning bust is part of a collection of sculptures created by the same artist that may form a series of the legendary Three Fates. Initially believed to be from the late-sixteenth century and associated with Michelangelo's circle, these pieces are actually much later in date. The most convincing attribution is to Montauti, a talented sculptor who worked in Florence and Rome. He began his career as a medallist and bronze sculptor before turning his attention to marble in the mid-1720s. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking initiative launched by MyMiniFactory that aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe. This treasure trove is available for free to the public, and Scan The World is an open-source community project.
